Dishes! Dishes! Dishes!

Anytime I open the dishwasher, Miss V. comes running shouting "DISHES!" Initially, she just liked feeling the tops of the wet cups (water sensory play coming soon!). Once she saw what I was doing (taking dishes out and putting in) she was all in.

She can barely reach the top rack. She has learned how to take one plate at a time from the bottom and hand it to me. A big smile ensues as she is very proud of herself.

I can not wait until she is tall enough and can do this as a chore :) The funniest thing is that the towels on the stove rack behind the dishwasher are like laundry to her. She pulls them off constantly. We've started just leaving them on the counter because it's easier than picking up off the floor every time we need one. All on her own, she grabbed a towel and started "drying" the bottom door of the dishwasher LOL!

She loves pushing and pulling the racks and has experimented with climbing onto the open door... Miss V of course can never leave a door or cabinet unclosed, so here's the final step!

Sometimes, curiosities occur in the most ordinary places :)
