Mushy Gushy Painting Class Part 1

I signed Curious Miss V up for a sensory/play/art class through West Allis Park and Rec and we have had a few classes so far! My original thought was that maybe some more sensory play would help her be more willing to play in and touch snow because she really doesn't want anything to do with it! And, ironically the first class had a big bin filled with snow for kiddos to explore and play with. The shovels and cups were the key for Miss V. She loves scooping, dumping out, refilling anything...water, noodles, beans... so the fact that it was snow was secondary to the fun utensils.

Look at the grip on that cup! It was a popular "station" and V wanted to protect that cup from the other kids LOL

Her sole mission in that moment was filling the cup. So serious!
She was not such a fan of the shaving cream and corn starch bin...

Umm...what's this on my hand?

You want me to mush this and spread it around? I don't think so

Can we get this off my hand please?
There are always one or two different painting stations and we've used everything from bubble wands to sponges to toothbrushes and of course fingers as paint brushes! She has loved every painting project!

"violet" paint!

Glitter and glue project

Look what I made Mom! and look at her face...
She of course has gotten paint in her hair too!

The best part of this class besides watching V have an awesome time...I don't have to clean up the mess! Seriously the teacher is awesome...let's them do all this messy stuff and then does all the clean up. A Win Win!
